This position is responsible for leading the demand planning process and strategy for the Business Unit operations, overseeing the demand planning processes and the Demand Planners while they develop the demand forecast for the business. The Demand Planning Manager is responsible of working strategically with the business to develop the demand plan that reflects the latest vision of the business, partnering with the sales managers and marketing managers. The Demand Manager should identify risks and opportunities to the latest plan. Also, needs to integrate the demand plan for Family Care and Kimberly-Clark Professional to develop and overall overview of the business, whilst strongly supporting the Sales & Operations process of the business. The role also supports the control process for Portfolio Rationalization, Sales Financial Trend versus Demand Plan reconciliation and offers support for service level protection through Safety Stock review.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with the demand planning team members to plan, coordinate, execute demand planning activities, get status on projections and forecasts
  • Be a critical liaison with the business to provide insights about volume trends and how the business is performing, understand the business situation with its own risks and operations
  • Support the trade and field marketing strategies through the demand planning process
  • Ensure the building blocks included in the forecast are highly supported by clear activities, budget, portfolio and targeted customers and provide strategical feedback about building blocks execution
  • Coordinate and lead the monthly collaborative Demand Planning process, including input into the S&OP / Demand Review, in coordination with Business Unit Sales and Marketing, understanding risks and opportunities to the latest plan, and supporting the business with risk assessments and mitigation activities
  • Support Monthly Demand Planning and S&OP Continuous Improvement and participate in cross functional project teams, develop best in class forecasting modules for the Business Units, ensuring forecast stability
  • Prepare and support analysis new product launches and promotions to determine Risks & Opportunities versus volume historical Trend

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, statistical or related discipline
  • 10+ years of work experience in Demand, Sales or Supply planning function
  • Detailed knowledge of Demand Planning systems, structures, and statistical modeling methods
  • Solid experience with planning system: ERP/SAP, SAP Analyzer, Demand Planning Forecasting tool (Arete, Logility, …)
  • Microsoft suite applications with emphasis in Excel (advanced level)
  • English language capability in writing, reading and speaking
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate root cause analysis, thoroughness and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
